Dr. Donald Tsynman

A native New Yorker, Dr. Tsynman joined Manhattan Gastroenterology in 2016. After graduating from Stuyvesant High School, he went on to complete his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, Dr. Tsynman earned his medical doctorate from St. Matthew’s University where he earned multiple accolades for academic achievement and graduated first in his class. He completed Internal Medicine training at the MCP Hahnemann Drexel University Hospital in Philadelphia. Thereafter, Dr. Tsynman received his subspeciality training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Dr. Tsynman’s prestigious awards include the Presidential Award from the American College of Gastroenterology and the national Fellowship2Leadership Grant. He has published articles in many top gastroenterology journals, including Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Gastroenterology Clinics of North America. Additionally, Dr. Tsynman has worked closely with the American Gastroenterology Association to publish an online Nutrition Education module currently in use by training programs around the country. He continues to be active in cutting edge research and currently has a leadership position at the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Tsynman has published extensively in many internationally renowned medical journals and has remained active in cutting edge gastrointestinal research. His specific interests include, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, general gastrointestinal care, colon cancer screening and prevention as well as malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract.

Dr. Tsynman is board certified by the ABIM in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Tsynman is fluent in English, Russian, and Spanish. He is an avid travel and in his spare time enjoys exploring his hometown of New York with his family and friends.
